# Geffen Defense

## **What is Geffen Defense?**

It is an **instance** located in the city of **Geffen**, near the **southern Kafra**, with the objective of **defending a crystal at the center of the bridge** while hordes of monsters approach.

## Where to Find It on the Map

* The instance is located on the <mark style="color:red;">**Geffen**</mark> map.
* You can check its location on the <mark style="color:red;">**MINIMAP**</mark>.
* You will find **2&#x20;**<mark style="color:red;">**NPCs**</mark>: a **"Guard"** and an **"Oracle"**.

## **How to Access the Location**

* Go to the nearest <mark style="color:red;">**Kafra**</mark> in your city, click on the **"**<mark style="color:red;">**Teleport**</mark>**"** option, and select the city.
* <mark style="color:red;">**Go to GEFFEN**</mark>**.**

## <mark style="background-color:red;">Guard</mark>

* Responsible for opening the instance.
* You must be in a **party&#x20;**<mark style="color:red;">**(ALT+Z)**</mark>.

## **Difficulty Levels**

* To progress through levels, you must complete the previous ones.
* Each level advancement requires each player to pay <mark style="background-color:green;">**2,000,000 Zeny.**</mark>
* Difficulty levels vary: **Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert**.
* After completing the instance, the entrance portal is closed, and no party members can re-enter. *(Bring a Sage to resurrect if you die after completion.)*

## <mark style="background-color:red;">**Astral Oracle**</mark>

* Responsible for exchanging your <mark style="color:red;">**Darkness Fragments**</mark> obtained inside the **Geffen Defense** instance.
* For every <mark style="background-color:red;">**100 Fragments**</mark>, you can exchange them with the NPCs and receive one of the listed items.
* A **Zeny fee** must be paid to complete the exchange.
